Therapeutic horse riding was introduced in our country in the late 1960’s. Challenged
adults and children utilize this therapy for both psychological and physical
disabilities. Through riding, students improve balance, coordination, muscle
strength, as well as self-confidence. The bond with the horse can lead to increased
confidence, patience, and self-esteem.
Aims to provide social opportunities in recreational horseback riding lessons adapted to individuals with special needs
Sessions often taught in a group format
